Mr. Bumper
$60.00
46.29 euro
I am sorry to relate that the red version of Mr. Bumper is sold out!
Mr. Bumper... the very name sends shivers up the spines of renegade natural historians everywhere. For months, he has been but a handful of shimmering photons, a tiny scrim or watercolor particulate, a ghostly ideal hovering in the twilight at the hour of nameless longing.
And now, after so many false starts, so many urgent negotiations, so much clenching and unclenching of eager fingers, Mr. Bumper is here!
As you can see in the pictures, Mr. Bumper is a complicated two-part entity who conceals his excruciatingly tender bodulation underneath a tough, shiny carapace. And we believe we may say without fear of contradiction that Mr.B is the ONLY toy on the market today with eight legs, three mouths, 37 eyes and a flame coming out of its fore-trunk.
We are selling (the few remaining) Mr. Bumpers in ONE color scheme*:
GREEN COWL/YELLOW BODY
(Seen on the left-hand side of the picture, to left.)
They are $60 each, plus $13.45 for Priority Mail postage and handling anywhere in the US.
Please be aware that these Mr. Bumpers are being made in relatively limited quantities- only 750 of each- and that when they are gone, they are GONE.
Do not pick the Media Mail option, please.
(*: We do have a very few of the coveted and much more scarce Grayscale and Purple color schemes. If you are interested, please ask jimwoodring at mindspring.com about them.)

Seeing Things Paperback Edition
$16.95
13.08 euro
Jim Woodring’s charcoal drawings take the otherworldly qualities of his comics (The Frank Book) to a higher level of clarity and nuance. These crisply rendered images reflect his life-long obsession with hidden worlds, alternate realities and the inexplicable resonance of the unprecedented and irrational in lucid art. Seeing Things collects the most toothsome of these drawings and arranges them in four sections. “Lazy Robinson” is a series of portraits of forms taken by a cognizant object during the course of a specific and identifiable stream of thought. “Frogs” celebrates the tender proclivities of the most noble of all animals, by placing them in situations that would dismay a horde of saints. “The Visible World” is a roundup of appalling scenes of sub-rational political activity involving catalytic entities with a high ratio of motivation to altruism. And “The Portfolio in Color” appears like a rainbow at the end of all this exalted storminess to send readers out into the world whistling with delight. As with the previous hardcover edition, the grimmest drawings have been left out of this collection.
104-page B&W and color 8 1/2” x 11”

The films run the gamut of animation techniques: 3DCG, paper craft, clay, iron sand and traditional cel 2D.
These original and imaginative expressions present anew the world of JW as seen through each filmmaker's eyes. For each animation, you are able to choose between the original music and the newly composed music by other musicians. Participating musicians include James McNew (from Yo La Tengo), The Coctails, Dame Darcy, Kicell, Milk Yabe, and others.

When Frank tries to enlist Pupshaw and Pushpaw to help him dig up a repulsive plant that is marring the beauty of The Unifactor, the fun-loving tankheads vote with their paws and embark instead upon a spree of bullying mayhem. They are observed at this mean-spirited play by Little Skook, a celestial entity who makes a transdimensional journey to join them. Things quickly go awry and Pupshaw and Pushpaw find themselves in a terrifying world of flying, shrieking demons and bulbous-faced monsters. L.S. returns them to The Unifactor where they discover that their selfishness has been traumatized right out of them. 45 pps, all new material.
